Arbitration
John Hunter has been involved in major arbitrations since 1988 including a year on an arbitration in England arising out of the combined heat and power plant at a regional airport. He yet another year in detailed preparation on behalf of the Respondent in an arbitration on a five star hotel in Glasgow acting for the Employer.
He has conducted numerous minor arbitrations between Contractors and Sub Contractors upon which he has issued awards on matters of the valuation of final accounts.
Since 2004 John has acted as Arbitrator in a number of arbitrations both domestically and internationally averaging two appointments per annum. He is currently arbitrating in two arbitrations in which he was appointed through the Law Society of Scotland.
John was one of the original directors of the seminal Scottish Arbitration Centre.
