John Hunter
John is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager who currently practises as a Consultant, Expert Witness, Adjudicator, Arbitrator and Mediator on a wide range of Contractual and Project Management matters in the construction industry. John provides an extensive range of services in connection with Arbitration, Adjudication, Mediation and Litigation in Scotland and England.
CURRENT AND RECENT EXPERIENCE
Currently the named adjudicator in a number of the largest construction and engineering projects in Scotland, including the Edinburgh Tram Project and nationwide for NHS Projects in Scotland. John is a practicing Arbitrator and regularly acts as a mediator.
A Past Chairman of the RICS Dispute Resolution Group in Scotland and Past Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators Scottish Branch and director of the Scottish Arbitration Centre. He is one of Scotlandʼs most experienced adjudicators having experience in over 250 adjudications representing parties and acting as Adjudicator.
A busy expert witness on quantum and delay analysis matters both nationally and internationally. John maintains his involvement in current construction projects and is involved in providing commercial and programming advice and services on numerous landmark projects throughout the UK.
